I’ve been lucky enough to be able to travel and have been greatly inspired by what I’ve seen.  There is so much out there in the big, beautiful world!  My husband and I enjoy making travel plans and have a huge bucket list of places to go.  I hope you can feel the moment of these places I’ve painted.

Ghent, Belgium

Sitting at an outdoor cafe, looking at the glorious sky in Ghent, Belgium as the sun started to set.  The glorious feeling of relaxation while on vacation.  2017. 12”X16”. $395.

Nuremberg, Germany

Our family crossed this bridge while in Nuremberg for a reunion.  The city is spectacular!   2018. 18”X17 ½”. $350.

Strike a Pose

While on vacation, we drove across the country and stopped at several National Parks. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking! It is impossible to imagine without seeing it in person, and I wanted to capture the people there. 2019. 14” X 10”. $250.

The Jersey Shore

While on vacation at Point Pleasant, NJ with our grandkids, I saw this incredible Tiki Bar not far from where we settled on a sandy blanket under a blue and white beach umbrella. Ahh… summer fun! 2019. 16” X 20”. $350.

The Big Easy

We’ve been to New Orleans twice, and it is one of my favorite cities! I wanted this painting to capture the spirit and fun of New Orleans. The colors are vibrant and alive and the image is a bit spooky. Just like the city! 2018. 14” X 10”. $375.

State Fair

The smell of the food, bustle of the midway, the laughter and fun conversations all make the State Fair a magical place! This food cart on the midway represents those fun times…. I’d wait in line for a deep fried Twinkie any day! 2017. Painting size: 8”X10”. Matted frame size: 13 ½”X16 ½". $325.

While touring a castle in Europe, I glanced out an upper window into this small patio area. No one was allowed there. I wondered where that large, wooden door led. 2017. 9 ½” X 13 ½”. $325.

This painting is the result of a challenge for a gallery show - to create a square painting with a  theme of ‘Circle of Life’.  I used Stonehedge Aqua Black 130lb paper, which gives a nice background for the colors.  2019. 12”X12”.  $320.

Cactus Flowers

These beautiful glass sculptures were on display in a Sarasota, Florida location that I was touring with a friend, and I thought a reference to them would make a lovely watercolor painting.  I took several pictures and used them as a guide in painting this on black Stonehedge Agua 130 lb cold pressed paper.  2020. 16” X 20”. $375.

Red Chair

While in Nashville, looking for the American Pickers antique shop, we were walkiing through a huge building that contained many individual small stores that lined a long wide main aisle.  I was going along at a pretty fast pace, trying to find the right shop, peeking in each one as I went by and I literally stopped in my tracks when I saw this gorgeous red leather chair sitting in the sunshine.  It was beautiful!!  This painting is based on that red chair.  2020. Painting size: 22” X 14”.  Matted frame size: 25” X 17”. $375.
